BMet’s employer support opportunities brought to the forefront at business webinar

BMet will be taking centre stage at an interactive business webinar entitled “Navigating Employment Support to Access New Talent” this Thursday (11 March).

The webinar is part of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce series of events called Growth Through People – which focus on responsible leadership, accessing and engaging talent, unlocking potential and harnessing resilience.

The session this week is being delivered by six experienced speakers from BMet’s Business Development team. Business leaders will hear about business enhancing routes offered at BMet – including apprenticeships and work experience opportunities.  T Levels and other employer-focused pathways will also be discussed as part of the wider landscape.

Attendees will include people from a variety of areas including education, health, recruitment, hospitality and the public sector.

Among other things, participants will be able to gain:

  • Clear guidance on the difference between various qualifications and which may be best for their business
  • Expert advice on the funding and support available to access new talent

Commenting on the event, Suzie Branch-Haddow, who is one of the speakers and Vice Principal, of External Development at BMet, said: “We are really looking forward to taking part in this event.

“We understand that the skills landscape can be confusing. However, through the webinar, our team will provide employers with a comprehensive update on the overall picture regarding training and education – focusing on apprenticeships like starter programmes, T Levels and much more.

“Anyone attending may just find the new talent needed to grow their business – and funding to help bring them on board!”

During the session questions like What’s the difference between a T Level and an A Level? What’s Kickstart? How have apprenticeships changed? will be answered by the BMet team.
