BMet awarded with the accolade of excellence in education training

BMet College has been crowned with the excellence in education training at the 2023 Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Awards.

The popular Birmingham based college, beat off stiff competition to be awarded with the accolade at the ICC this month.

The award particularly recognised BMet’s strengths and work with the regional and national business and stakeholder community. In particular, the hard work of the college’s business development team, was highlighted and celebrated.

BMet representatives from across the external business development directorate attended the event last week.

Suzie Branch-Haddow, Vice Principal – External Development, was presented with a trophy at the “black tie” ceremony.

Speaking of the award win, she said: “We are exceptionally proud that our achievements have been rewarded. We have an unwavering commitment to improve the lives of young people and adults in our community.  We do this by providing them with access to employers via our well-honed employer engagement and activity.

“We firmly believe that collaboration between business and education can change lives and shift the dial on future workforce skills challenges.

“Our business development team have developed strong relationships with employers to the benefit of our students to ensure we are giving them the skills needed in industry and that our curriculum is relevant.

“I am over the moon that their hard work has been recognised.”
