UAL Computer Games Design Diploma Level 2

Do you enjoy computer games?  Are you an imaginative person? Have an interest in digital art?  You can combine all three and start your career in Games Design with us!  you can progress to our level 3 games course.

You will learn how to design characters, environments, game assets for computer games and more! You will learn how to use applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Maya through a series of exciting briefs that mirror the games industry., You will also develop your drawing and design skills, alongside transferrable skills such as research.  You will build your confidence and gain knowledge of the exciting creative industries that are some of the fastest growing in the UK.

If your life is based around playing games, and you have a developing skill in art, then this is the route for you.

Awarded by UAL Awarding Body you will achieve a UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Art and Design on completion of this course.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above. You will also need to show a portfolio at interview.

This programme of study is 100% coursework i.e. no exams.  You will be assessed in a variety of ways including: Practical work, presentations, essays, journals, blogs, tutor interviews, group discussions, art portfolios and digital designs.

After completing the Level 2 Diploma you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma to continue your development.  The skills you learn at Level 2 will be vital in achieving your potential at Level 3 and then this can eventually lead to higher education or employment.
