Fashion for the Planet! This course is perfect for you if you wish to explore garment design from an ethical perspective, as well as offering an introduction to an alternative way of pattern making.

On this course you will learn how to pattern cut and sew a zero-waste garment. As consumers and designers it is important for us to take responsibility for what we wear.  This course is perfect for you if you wish to explore garment design from an ethical perspective, as well as offering an introduction to an alternative way of pattern making.   By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Draft a simple zero waste garment
  • Identify zero waste or less waste patterns
  • Identify what is meant by sustainable or ethical fabrics.
  • Use simple, useful machine and hand sewing techniques.
