Psychology A Level

Psychology is the course that will interest you if you enjoy understanding relationships and social groups in the world around you.

Psychology is the scientific study of people, particularly how and why we think and behave as we do. It uses the scientific method of careful research, experimentation and statistical analysis and requires you to learn to be numerate, to use logical reasoning and to express yourselves clearly and concisely in writing.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 34 Weeks

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in academic subjects, including GCSE maths, English Language and Science.

This two-year course is entirely assessed by written examination at the end of two years of study, covering all content covered over the two years of study.

Psychology careers are wide ranging, and include clinical work in hospitals, educational in schools, occupational selection in organisations, health in private practices or in organisations.
