Principles of Dementia Care Certificate Level 2

The qualification aims to assess your knowledge and understanding of practices in the care of individuals with dementia. It can also be used to prepare you for employment and professional development for those who wish to gain knowledge in this specialist area of practice. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles of caring for those with dementia. You will cover areas such as person-centred care, the influence of positive communication methods, issues around the use of medication for those with dementia and the importance of providing appropriate activities.
