Post Compulsory Education Undergraduate Certificate (Teaching)

The Undergraduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education course has been developed and approved to meet the national Education and Training Foundation Standards (ETF) for teachers working in the Life Long Learning Sector. The course has been devised by the University of Wolverhampton and its partner colleges, with a view to providing a coherent course of study, which enables teachers to be able to reflect upon and develop within their teaching role.

The Lifelong Learning Sector includes teaching professional and vocational qualifications in colleges, sixth form colleges, adult education centres, offender education, private training providers and work-based learning.

This course provides the theoretical knowledge and practical support needed to gain the accreditation of a highly regarded initial teacher training qualification.

Course Length: The course will be offered on a part-time day basis over two years.

Continuous assessment – through assignments, research projects, teaching practice and presentations.

The University of Wolverhampton has devised a range of qualifications which allow progression from the Undergraduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education course to degrees and post-graduate awards.

Year 1 modules:
