Pharmacy Service Skills Certificate Level 2

If you are a non-qualified pharmacy or dispensing assistant working in a pharmacy environment, this is the ideal course for you. You will complete this course alongside the Level 2 Certificate in Pharmaceutical Service Skills to gain the underpinning knowledge required to meet the requirements of the Pharmacy Regulator. These qualifications are aimed at individuals who want to work as pharmacy/dispensing assistants. These qualifications are the mandatory minimum requirement from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Entry Requirements

You will need 4 GCSEs grade D/3 or above to include English and maths. You must be currently employed within the pharmacy sector for at least 15 hours each week working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Delivery and Assessment

You will complete a portfolio of evidence in the workplace.


On successful completion of this award and with the addition of a Level 2 science award you may choose to continue your studies and take a Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science.
