Pharmaceutical Sciences Diploma Level 3

You will study a range of subjects by classroom delivery. These subjects include Action and Uses of Medicines, Dispensing and Supply of Medicines, Pharmacy Law and Ethics. Some subjects may include a practical element including pharmaceutics, Chemical principles for pharmacy, Microbiology for Pharmacy.

Entry Requirements

You will need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English, maths and science. You must also be currently employed for a minimum of 15 hours working within the pharmacy sector under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Delivery and Assessment

There are a variety of assessments methods used, these include class tests, assignments, and presentations.

Progression

This qualification is part of an approved training scheme that allows you to work as a Pharmacy Technician. It can be studied alongside the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills enabling you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
