The Level 3 Certificate in Mathematics is a one year course and worth the
equivalent of an AS level in UCAS points for university admission, and as such
is only offered as an addition to a three A Level programme (not as one of your
core 3 A Level subjects).

Are you thinking of a career in business, science or engineering or perhaps
becoming a professional mathematician? If so, studying A level Mathematics is
going to be essential in developing your knowledge to support your skill base
and help you succeed.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in academic subjects, including GCSE Maths & GCSE English Language.
This one-year course is entirely assessed by written examination at the end of Year 1, with students who take this course studying it alongside 3 A Levels in Year 1 of their programme only.
This course will provide additional UCAS points to support your university application, and will particularly help with entry to higher education or employment in destinations that involve applied mathematical skills, but do not specifically require A Level Maths.
