This course is designed to give you a good understanding of a variety of careers within the Travel and Tourism industry and will give you a range of skills and knowledge required for employment. If you have aspirations to work in the travel and tourism industry doing jobs such as cabin crew, tour guide, holiday rep or work on a cruise liner then this is the course for you.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You must achieve Entry 3 in an English Initial Assessment or have the equivalent qualification. You also need to demonstrate during interview a strong interest in the theory behind Travel and Tourism including knowledge of the UK as a tourist destination and be willing to take part in practical activities.

You will be required to participate in a variety of lessons surrounding organisation, teamwork, leadership and contributing positively to your community. You will be assessed through coursework that will involve presentations, posters, reports, practical observations, training plans and written tasks.

Completion of this course will enable you to progress on to a Level 2 course including the BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism. You may also have the opportunity to explore other pathways such as sport or Public Services.
