Interactive Media Production Diploma Level 3

The media industry is growing – be part of it!

This course is for people who are interested in producing the sort of content they watch and listen to, and want to work in the creative industries.

You will have the opportunity to express your creativity through a range of projects including film, music video, podcasts and online, utilizing applications such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition and more!
You will learn how to develop your initial ideas and manage your projects through to completion, alongside transferrable skills such as research. You will build your confidence and gain knowledge of the exciting creative industries that are some of the fastest growing in the UK.
You will also have the opportunity to complete ‘live’ briefs and enter industry-focused competitions that will help you build your portfolio to aid your progression.

If you are the kind of person who looks at the world in a more critical, creative way than everybody else, then media is the route for you!

On successful completion of this course you can progress to higher education, an apprenticeship or employment.

Entry Requirements

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and maths. Alternatively you will need a Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at a merit or distinction grade.

Delivery and Assessment

This programme of study is totally assed by coursework. You will be assessed in a variety of ways including your contribution to: practical work, presentations, essays, journals, blogs, tutor interviews, group discussions, short films, storyboards, App designs, visual images, sketchbooks and live film events.

Progression

This course leads into a variety of higher education coursesor an apprenticeship. Most new employees who work in the media industry have a degree or higher but if you choose to look for employment after this course you will find that your digital interactive media skills portfolio will aid you in any media related job.,
