This is a one year course which is aimed at people who would like to develop
their knowledge and skills required for working in the health and social care
sector specialising in Health Science. Successful completion will lead to
progression onto the level 3 extended diploma. The course will also provide you
work experience opportunities in the health sector.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.
Course Length: 35 Weeks
You will need five GCSE grades 4/C or above including English, maths and science.
You will be assessed on an on-going basis through a variety of methods including written exams, case studies and presentations.
On successful completion of this course, at Merit or above, it will allow you to progress onto a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health Studies (Science). It will also give employment opportunities within the Health and Social Care Sector in role such as dietician, podiatrist, paramedic, radiography, radiotherapy etc.
