Content Creator Apprenticeship

Land your first break in the industry - apply to be a Junior Content Producer! You will be taught a range of practical skills used within the graphic design or media sector including Photoshop, Premier Pro, Audition, InDesign and Illustrator.  As a JCP you will collaborate with designers and developers, using authoring languages to create content for the World Wide Web, which may include video, images, text (or “copy”) and web pages and social media content, so an enthusiasm for technology and creating great online experiences is a must.

The beauty of this apprenticeship is that you will have the space to develop in the classroom alongside undertaking real-world briefs set by your employer.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: Weeks

A good level of secondary education is expected with Maths and English GCSE at a C/4 grade or above. Employers also look for skills like motivation, good interpersonal skills, good communication skills and a willingness to learn.  Experience of at least one of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign or Illustrator is preferred, as is previous experience of digital creative work.

The overall grade for this qualification is pass, merit, distinction or fail.  Following a skills scan against your job role you must achieve three end point assessments that are assessed externally:

1. Observation

2. Set Brief Test

3. Professional Discussion.

You will set up and maintain an online portfolio of your work and blog that will be used as evidence at your end point assessment.  You will be encouraged to take responsibility and ownership for this in order to show your full potential. ,
