Combined Science GCSE

Combined Science: Trilogy gives learners the option to progress to A-levels in science or other subjects.

We offer a unique opportunity to re-sit GCSE Combined Science. You study this course for a year, and you will receive 2 GCSE grades.
Many Job roles or degree require a minimum of a grade 4 GCSE in Science, so we provide the opportunity to either improve your grade. As these GCSE’s are completed in one year, we require all applicants to undertake a diagnostic assessment in science to choose between Foundation and Higher programme.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including Double Science, English, and Maths. You will need either English or Maths at Grade 4 or above.

You will be assessed through practical work and an exam.

After this course you may choose to move onto the Level 3 in Applied Science. You may also choose to change to other areas of study like sport Science or health and social care. The underpinning knowledge, practical and vocational scientific skills learnt on the BTEC course will enhance and support the progression to a competency-based course.
