Business Administration Certificate Level 1

The Level 1 OCR Certificate in Administration is a one year part-time course. It is designed for learners who aspire to work as in an office based or customer service environment .
Upon completing this qualification you may choose to seek employment in a number of administrative roles, such as office administrator, receptionist or customer service advisor.
Good administration skills are valued in all industries and your choice of jobs will be wide and varied.

This is an evening class, held on Tuesdays, 6pm to 9 pm.

Entry Requirements

You will need a minimum of 2 GCSE's at grade D/3 and a grade 4/C in English or be working at Level 2 equivalent in English. You may be asked to take an initial assessment in English and maths before you start the course to help us gauge your suitability for the course. You also need to have a keen interest in working in ad administrative role.

Delivery and Assessment

The course is both theoretical and practical and will be delivered through a range of teaching methods including classes in our RWE (realistic working environment), guest speakers, workshops, and some online directed study which you will complete in your own time. The units will be completed using a variety of assessment methods including role plays, presentations, written reports, posters, displays and video clips. You will be assessed via OCR assignment briefs in each unit.


After the course you may be able to progress to the OCR Level 2 Business Administration course, a BTEC Business Studies course or an apprenticeship in Business Administration.
