Active IQ Physical Activity, Fitness & Exercise Science Diploma Level 3

Year 2 learners will study subject areas such as planning and instructing personal training, nutrition, technology in sport and exercise, entrepreneurship and marketing.

Entry Requirements

Learners must be 16+ years old and have four GCSE’s Grade C or above, including Maths or English. The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. Leaners must also have completed year 1 at Level 2 to gain entry to year 2 Level 3.

Delivery and Assessment

You will be assessed through a mixture of practical and theory assessments, as well as course work. A portfolio of evidence will be gathered over the duration of the programme to ensure a sound knowledge and competency is gained will be gathered over the duration of the programme to ensure a sound knowledge and competency is gained.

Progression

On completion of the level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral, you have the opportunity to progress into employment, or onto the following qualifications: - Active IQ Level 4 Certificate in Exercise for the Management of Lower Back Pain - Active IQ Level 4 Certificate in Exercise and Nutritional Interventions for Obesity and Diabetes - Sports Massage - Continue into Higher Education, Foundation Degree or HND Students can progress to other fitness instructing qualifications such as GP Referrals and Pre and Post Natal Training.
