Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2)

The AM2 is the final unit of the electrical installation qualification, and has provided the means of independently assessing the occupational competence of electrical installation apprentices for more than 30 years.

The AM2 assessment centre is located at James Watt College, Great Barr. Providing end point assessement for Electrical Installation Level 3 apprenticeships.
We provide both AM2 and AM2S assessments at our centre.

Entry Requirements

This is not a course. The AM2 is compulsory assessment for apprentices to gain industry recognised qualified status.

Delivery and Assessment

The purpose of the AM2 is to ensure all qualifying installation electricians achieve a single standard that has been agreed by the employers in the industry as meeting their expectations from newly qualified personnel.


As an apprentice the AM2 would be the final unit to enable qualified electrician status.
