The Skills Centre has had major refurbishment, with an investment of almost £4 million, of which £1.33 million was grant funded by the Skills Funding Agency.  The Centre now offers an enhanced range of courses in construction, ESOL and foundation learning and provides purpose built facilities including classrooms and workshops, which have been specifically designed to house training rooms for painting and decorating, plastering, carpentry and joinery and electrical as well as general training rooms with increased access to technology. We’re working with local community groups such as Connexions and Jobcentre Plus to help unemployed people back into work.
